The Red State Murder Problem Becomes the Blue County Murder Problem
- Americans are less safe today than they were a decade ago due to failed models of criminal justice reform, rogue prosecutors, and politicized unequal law enforcement.
- Homicide rates in the United States have risen in recent years, reaching 6.81 homicides per 100,000 people in 2021.
- Crime is a local issue, and analysis of crime data needs to be undertaken at the local level.
- At the county level, the homicide rate has been higher in Democratic-leaning “blue” counties than in Republican-voting “red” counties since 2002.

Former Campus Radicals Now Teach Your Children
- After Hamas butchered hundreds of Israeli civilians and raped and injured thousands more, dozens of student groups at Harvard, Columbia, and other elite universities did the unthinkable: blaming the victims and expressing support for those committing unspeakable atrocities.
- The statement issued by a coalition of 31 student organizations at Harvard held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.”
- What do these hateful ideologues do after obtaining their diplomas? To find out, we searched for the career histories of a sample of 300 former campus radicals identified by Canary Mission. More than a quarter of them are in higher education, either as graduate instructors or as professors. One-tenth of them work in schools for younger children.
- In total, 38% of the kinds of people who once marched around campus chanting about decolonization go on to teaching careers. This is more than double the 16% who pursue careers as activists in advocacy organizations.

DC Library Didn’t Do Background Checks for Drag Queen Story Hour
- The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in the nation’s capital hosted a “Drag Story Hour” last month as part of so-called Family Pride Day activities without conducting background checks on the male performers, who dressed and wore makeup like women.
- D.C. library system worked in partnership with the radical LGBTQ group Human Rights Campaign, a major proponent of giving cross-sex hormones to minors, despite science clearly indicating the horrific dangers of this practice.
- Heritage’s Oversight Project team has been investigating the intersection of sexual crime and the transgender epidemic.
- In light of recent disturbing findings, we asked the D.C. Public Library to provide all records regarding a background check on the performers for the “Drag Story Hour” event Sept. 10. Library officials got back to us this week and admitted to doing no background check at all for the drag performers.
- The conclusion of Heritage’s Oversight Project after this investigation is that Parents should avoid all D.C. libraries until officials put proper corrective measures and security upgrades in place.
