Friends,

Don’t forget the 350 Fairfax general meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 7:30 pm! This is what’s on the agenda:

  • Learn: We are excited to welcome Julie Sharkey, campaign manager for Our Last Straw, and Krissee D’Aguiar, chocolate executive officer at River-Sea Chocolates, to talk about waste reduction in the local hospitality industry. They will be amazing resources for us as we move forward with our Earth Friendly Fairfax restaurant campaign.
  • Discuss: We’ll take this opportunity to set goals for Earth Friendly Fairfax and brainstorm new restaurant targets. We’ll give a full update on single-use plastic and Green New Deal legislation in the General Assembly, which wraps up its 2020 session this weekend. And we’ll chat about our organizational goals for the Community-Wide Energy and Climate Action Plan (CECAP).
  • Act: Over the last few months, our small group of volunteers has recruited 12 restaurants at Earth Friendly gold or silver status. Commit to getting your favorite neighborhood eatery certified as Earth Friendly.

RSVP here or on Facebook.
