Karin Asensio here, Executive Director of the Colorado Democratic Party. Yesterday, Colorado ballots were mailed out for the 2023 election, which will decide incredibly important ballot initiatives and city and school board elections.
Yup, that’s right! We spend a lot of time talking about re-electing Yadira Caraveo and defeating Lauren Boebert in 2024, but we also need to vote this year on or before Tuesday, November 7th. In communities across the state, local elections are happening for school boards and important ballot measures.
At the state level, Props HH and II are on the ballot – the Colorado Democratic Party has endorsed both because they’ll put more money in the pockets of Coloradans and give our kids the education they deserve. As a mom of two teenagers in Colorado’s public schools, I’ll be voting yes on both.
Election officials are mailing a ballot to every Coloradan, so keep an eye out because you should receive it in the next couple of days.
Here’s how you can prepare in the meantime:
