MONTANANS FOR TESTER

John,

This is a bit longer of an email than I usually send, but bear with me. I want to tell you a story about the first time I ran for Senate.

I won my first Senate race by knocking on every single door. The first door I knocked on, I was so nervous. I stuttered and stammered the entire time.

Then there was a woman in Chester who said, “I’m voting Republican, but you’re the first Democrat to knock on my door. It doesn’t matter, I’m still voting Republican.”

Well, I just knew we probably had a lot more in common than what divided us. So every time I found myself in Chester, I paid her a visit and we talked and I listened to what she and her family needed. The last time I knocked on her door, she said, “Don’t knock on my door anymore—I’m going to vote for you.”

You see, I first ran for office because I saw the people in power prioritizing wealthy special interests over my neighbors. No one thought about the small family farmer struggling to put food on the table or the single mom working two jobs just to get by.

But I’ll always show up for my neighbors. That woman in Chester knew I wasn’t giving up on her, and it’s how I earned her vote.

I still think about her today. And I’m still fighting to make sure our government works for hardworking people like you—not the corporations, not the lobbyists, and definitely not the dark money groups writing huge campaign checks.

But Mitch McConnell isn’t so happy about that, and he’s already named me one of his top targets. The attacks are already flying and it’ll only get worse. The truth is they’re going to say all sorts of made-up crap, they always do, and the reason is because they can’t beat who I am.

It’ll be tough, but we have a plan to win. These races are won by shoe leather. We need a strong ground game earlier than ever before because the attacks are already coming in hard.

That means I need your help to make sure we reach our fundraising goals from today through Election Day.

So, will you chip in $10 (or more if you can) right now? Every donation matters to me personally, because I know how hard you work for your money.

Thanks for pitching in, John. I’ll keep fighting for hardworking folks across the country, and I’m proud to have you with me.

Jon
