I’m not mincing words when I say this, y’all: Our Republican leadership in Baton Rouge couldn’t be more out of touch with everyday Louisianans.

While Louisiana families struggle to put food on the table, our leaders line their pockets with fat checks from Big Pharma and special interests.

While Louisiana ranks among one of the worst for public schools, our leaders continue to under-invest in education and leave our children behind.

While insurance companies hike up their rates, our leaders would rather demonize and attack LGBTQ families.

Frankly, I’m fed up with the BS.

I’m tired of the name-calling. I’m tired of petty politics. And I’m tired of seeing our state fall behind while NOTHING gets done.

I’ve spent the past few weeks talking with voters, and I know folks feel the same way. Our families all want the same thing: To live in a safe community. To put our kids through the best schools. And to make decisions for themselves instead of their government meddling in their lives.

I couldn’t agree more.

We all have a shared responsibility to make our state better. Not only am I going to call it out, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves to make lasting change in Louisiana.
