Republicans are nominating Trump-endorsed, radical conspiracy theorist Rep. Jim Jordan to be the next speaker of the House. Although he just failed in the first speaker vote, let’s be clear: He is NOT fit to lead.

Jim Jordan helped push the "Big Lie" which led the attack on January 6. Years later, he is ready to keep following Donald Trump's marching orders by pushing his extremist MAGA agenda.

That agenda includes passing a nationwide abortion ban, pushing his baseless impeachment inquiry, and ending investments to create good-paying jobs and reinvigorate American manufacturing.

The American people deserve better than a Speaker that's even more extreme than Kevin McCarthy.

We are facing an international crisis and the House is unable to respond. Every day that the Republicans throw our House into chaos is another day that the House cannot act. We cannot move a bill to support Israel or Ukraine.

Next November, we'll have the opportunity to retake the majority and have a House our country can be proud of, and the work to make that happen starts now.
