This headline in the Associated Press isn’t anything we haven’t seen before, folks.
"Virginia is the next big battleground for abortion rights and may send a signal for 2024"

I’ve been writing to you a lot about how our fight to protect reproductive health care will have national implications in 2024. Our odd-year elections have historically been an indicator of the national mood heading into big election years. That means our strategies and messaging on abortion will guide other states’ tactics – and unfortunately that holds true for Republicans across the country, too. Our only option is to win in November, prevent the Virginia GOP from enacting an abortion ban, and pave the way for Democrats all over the United States fighting to protect reproductive health care.
Can you donate today to help my team elect Democrats to the General Assembly that are staunch defenders of a woman’s right to choose?

But here’s the interesting thing I read today: Apparently anti-abortion experts are coming into Virginia to advise Republicans on their abortion language. Essentially they’re trying to soften the blow to Virginians on how detrimental their planned abortion ban would be.
So I want to take a moment to be frank with you. The fact of the matter is, Republicans in the Commonwealth want to strip away reproductive health care. It’s that simple.
We can’t allow that to happen.
So please, if you can, chip in $5 to give our Democratic candidates across the Commonwealth the support they need to win next month and protect access to reproductive health care.
