Every day we see policies enacted that are not in the best interest of moms. And every day it becomes more clear that the voices of moms are needed and must be centered at all levels of government.
In Virginia, control of the House of Delegates and Senate hangs in the balance this November, and Governor Youngkin has vowed to ban abortion if Republicans secure both chambers.
Ohio is just 21 days away from voting on a ballot measure that will either restore abortion rights — or maintain one of the strictest bans in the nation.
Progress in Congress has ground to a halt after Republicans narrowly (and temporarily) avoided a shutdown, ousted the Speaker, and sent the country over a “childcare cliff” that risks the closure of 70,000 childcare programs.
We find ourselves asking: what would the world look like if more moms held power? And most importantly, what can we do to make that happen?
At Vote Mama, we support Democratic moms running for red-to-blue seats we need to flip and important seats to defend. We send funding, training, mentorship, and other resources to endorsed mamas across the country. And we make a point to get involved in targeted races from School Board all the way up to the U.S. Senate.
This is a huge task and we can’t do it alone. We rely on partnerships with everyone from grassroots organizers like you, to national advocates like Busy Philipps. Just a few weeks ago, Vote Mama teamed up with Busy to support candidates running in crucial red to blue House races and for the VA state legislature.

The work we do is strategic and has a serious impact. We have endorsed nearly 100 candidates running in 2023 and 2024. And when they win, 29% of our endorsed candidates will become the first moms to EVER hold their seats.
We are building a powerful movement to replace the people in office who have proven they are not going to fight for moms, and we are so grateful for your support.
