With 20 members of his own party rejecting him, Jim Jordan came up short in today’s first vote to be the next speaker of the House.

But the House is expected to hold a second vote later today. (Remember that it took 15 votes over five days for Kevin McCarthy to become speaker back in January.)

So we have to keep telling Congress to keep rejecting Jim Jordan’s bid to be speaker of the House.

See my previous note (copied below) for more about why Jim Jordan should not be speaker.

And please take action again today even if you took action yesterday — Congress needs to hear from the American people before each and every vote.

Thanks!

The House of Representatives is expected to vote shortly on whether Jim Jordan will be speaker.

Look, it’s not like Republicans are going to nominate somebody good for the position.

But Jim Jordan is egregiously bad.

Just a few lowlights of his time so far in Congress:
Jim Jordan should not be given the speaker’s gavel unless the only thing he’s going to do with it is knock himself unconscious.

Tell Congress:

Do not make Jim Jordan speaker of the House.

Thanks for taking action.
