Friend,
Last week, I hosted my hearing for the Basic Education Funding Commission (BEFC) on how Pennsylvania’s legislators can uphold our constitutional obligation to fairly and fully fund our public education system.
I asked you to share your thoughts, and one response in particular caught my eye:
“I attended public schools; I taught in public schools; my children attended public schools; and my grandchildren attend public schools. Public monies should go towards public schools, not voucher programs that take funding away from public schools and would hurt the community.”

Public school funding doesn’t just impact our students — it impacts our entire community.
I’m fighting to ensure our public dollars stay in public schools so every Pennsylvanian can achieve a high quality education and an affordable cost of living. If you oppose Republicans’ school vouchers, please make a contribution of any amount so we can keep these programs out of Pennsylvania’s public schools »

Regardless of whether you have a student or not, this is an issue that directly affects you and your taxes. I hope I can continue counting on your support as I move this fight forward.
