The Republican party is poised to elect Jim Jordan as the new Speaker of the House.

There’s no sugarcoating this, John: this is a danger to our democracy.

He sought to overturn the 2020 presidential election, supported the January 6th insurrection, and embraced white supremacist talking points. His Speakership would push the Republican caucus further to the right and pave the way for another insurrection. This is simply unacceptable.
