Hi John,

This weekend I was lucky to attend and speak at the annual Mansfield-Metcalf Democratic Dinner in Helena. I spoke to hundreds of Montana Democrats about our vision for change in the Attorney General’s Office and how we need an advocate who fights for us.

I met passionate and fired up democrats from all over the state who are ready to elect real change in an Attorney General.

We also had a great event the night before the dinner where we talked about the importance of taking on the big fights facing our state and what the AG can do to fight for us.

The Attorney’s General office is about being unafraid to take on the big fights, it’s about advocacy, and putting the force of the law behind our rights and our constitution.

My career is built on advocacy.

Where politicians like to talk about public lands and public access, I’ve gone to court to fight for public access in our state--and won.

I’ve taken on big tobacco--and won.

I’ve taken the Trump Administration to court--and won.

And, I’ve stood up for our public schools at the U.S. Supreme Court.

I took on these fights for you, because you’re owed an advocate. And that’s the kind of advocacy we should demand from our Attorney General.

Anytime we get that feeling, we’ve all felt it, that our choices are being taken away, that we’re getting nickeled and dimed -- that’s where we are owed an Attorney General who fights for us.

The Attorney General matters for workers and unions, for choice, for equality, for individual dignity, for privacy, for our public schools and public lands -- and if we’re serious about those issues, we should be serious about putting a real advocate in this office.

I’m proud of the inclusive, energized statewide organization we are building. Montanans are ready for change, and with your help, our campaign can win this November.
