John, can I be honest?

It’s been a slower fundraising month for us than we expected. That’s bad news because our campaign hinges on some critical priorities we need to achieve in the immediate future.

First and foremost, we have to ensure Lauren’s name is on the ballot! That means we’ve got campaign staff and volunteers on the ground in IL-14 gathering the required signatures so that folks in IL-14 can vote for her. But there's a problem.

This was always going to be a tough year for House Democrats, as we’re in the minority and fighting extremism that has gone from being on the fringe to becoming an everyday challenge.

There’s no wiggle room to get this wrong. If we’re going to protect vulnerable Democrats, tamp down rampant extremism and win back the House Majority, we need all hands on deck.
