I've been standing up to Jim Jordan since my first day in Congress, so I know just how dangerous he is. He was an architect of the Trump plan to overturn the 2020 election, and now he's just a few votes from becoming Speaker of the House.

When I got my chance to vote, I made clear how I felt, and that I was proud to be supporting Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker.

Republicans have shown they are incapable of running the people's House. They can't even conduct the basic mechanisms of governing by electing a Speaker or passing a budget. We need to return to responsible oversight and competent governance, not careening from debt ceiling crisis to government shutdowns to insane investigations.
