 Team — this afternoon, Republicans appear to be coalescing around Jim Jordan, one of the most extreme and dangerous members of their caucus, to be the next House Speaker. Jim Jordan is an election denier, led the effort to overturn a free and fair election, has been working to shut down the government and push our country off a financial cliff, and wants a total abortion ban. He is completely unfit to be Speaker. Team, I am ready to work right now with my colleagues, Republicans and Democrats, to do the work the American people are expecting of us.
