We all know that the Speaker race is a complete mess. 



That’s why I sent out a survey asking for you to tell me the funniest candidate to hold the Speaker’s gavel. Yes, MAGA is the greatest existential threat to American democracy since the Civil War. But sometimes, they’re so stupid you just have to laugh at them. 



To all my friends in The Lincoln Project community, thanks for the laughs. 



“The next Speaker? Halloween is coming up, so how about Bannon dressed as Pennywise.”



“DeSantis. It’s the only way he’ll ever get back to DC.”



“Biden’s dog, since he’s not welcome at the White House and can discipline Congress with his teeth”



Now that you’ve got a smile on your face, let’s get to my next point. The GOP chaos is holding up U.S. aid to Israel. Tuberville’s blockade in the Senate is undermining our military at a time of international crisis. And Trump continues to pull the strings. 



MAGA never fails to remind us that they’re uninterested and unfit to govern our country. In 2024, we need to deal a crippling blow to their movement >> <[link removed]>



Meanwhile, President Biden continues to show American voters and the rest of the world exactly what true leadership looks like. Two large-scale military conflicts involving U.S. allies are happening in two different parts of the world. 



Biden is meeting both challenges with the resolute leadership that the entire world looks to in times of crisis.



In public, our President is giving rousing speeches and building support for the global fight for democracy. Behind the scenes, he's in constant contact with our allies, providing U.S. support and building the coalitions we need to influence the world for the better. 



Now imagine how it’d be if Trump occupied the White House, Jim Jordan held the gavel, and Tuberville was in the Senate majority. 



America would be weaker. The world would be less safe. And autocracy would have more room to flourish at home and abroad. I’ll let you fill in the gaps for what other chaos the MAGA clown car would unleash. But it’s safe to say it’d be the stuff of our nightmares and authoritarian dreams. 



In 2020 and 2022, we fought tooth and nail to stop that MAGA hellscape from becoming a reality. In 2024, we’re doubling down on that work to defeat Trump and his movement for good. We need your support. Are you with us? <[link removed]>
