In a few minutes Republicans are going to call a vote on whether Jim Jordan is the next Speaker of the House. It’s been 14 days since McCarthy was thrown out. And now the extremists have put up one of their own in Jim Jordan. 

Let’s not forget how extreme Jim Jordan really is:

• He tried to overturn the 2020 election 
• He wants to ban abortion with no exceptions, even for the life of the mother
• He’s a founding member of the extreme “Freedom Caucus” 
• He supports a radical plan to end Social Security and Medicare

If the Republicans elect Jim Jordan as Speaker, there is no choice: we must vote them out of power. I will be voting for Hakeem Jeffries today. But I can guarantee you if my purple seat flipped, my opponent would be a vote for Jim Jordan. That’s why winning these elections is so darn important.
