Nikolas was found scared, starving and alone in a trashcan in New York City—thrown away like garbage.
Weighing just 26 lb., the two-year-old dog was emaciated. He had fleas, dermatitis, overgrown nails and a urine-stained coat when he was brought to the ASPCA. It was clear that he had already endured unimaginable suffering and neglect, and it was up to us to do everything we could to help him.
