Friend, it's Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. In case you haven't heard, I'm the Democrat running to defeat Rick Scott in Florida. I'm also an immigrant from Ecuador, a gun safety advocate, a former Congresswoman, and a proud mom.
I'm about to ask you to make a donation to support my campaign. ( If you're ready to give now, you can click here to split a gift between my campaign and Southern Progress. [[link removed]] ) But first, let me explain why I'm asking and what's at stake:
*
Rick
Scott
is
one
of
the
most
dangerous
senators
in
Washington.
He
wrote
the
plan
to
raise
taxes
on
working
families
and
end
Medicare
and
Social
Security.
And
he’s
supported
a
nationwide
ban
on
abortions.

*
Rick
Scott
only
won
this
seat
by
0.12%
last
time
around

and
he
had
to
shell
out
$64
MILLION
of
his
own
money
to
do
it.
Now,
a
new
poll
shows
our
race
is
already
statistically
tied.

*
Election
experts
are
saying
that
if
I
win,
Democrats
will
be
virtually
guaranteed
to
maintain
our
Senate
majority.
If
not,
we
could
easily
lose
control.
I know that we can win in Florida, but I'm counting on your help to compete with Scott's massive personal fortune. So please, will you split $25 between my campaign and Southern Progress before midnight tonight to defeat Scott's dangerous agenda, defend our Senate majority, and flip Florida blue? [[link removed]]
Thank you for believing in my campaign and in a better future for Florida,
Debbie
