Parents and Caregivers for Inclusive Education

Responsible parent and caregiver groups must focus on all children’s right to inclusive and equitable education—in direct opposition to politically motivated “parents’ rights” groups with discriminatory agendas that harm young people. This new feature ([link removed]) by Maya Henson Carey of the SPLC’s Intelligence Project examines the rise of discriminatory anti-student inclusion groups and the effects of their harmful agendas. Carey also presents models of responsible parent and caregiver advocacy that are intentional about supporting all students and addressing real educational problems facing students, educators and families.
