John,
My name is Darwin Forsyth, and I’m the Minnesota DFL’s new Communications Director. We’re going to be working closely together over the next year, so I wanted to reach out to introduce myself. Quick background on me:
Most recently, I served as press secretary for Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon while he worked with our DFL trifecta this legislative session to pass pro-democracy reforms like automatic voter registration and Restore the Vote.
In 2022, I served as deputy communications for Governor Walz's re-election campaign, where I focused on holding the Republican ticket accountable for their extremism on abortion, education, health care, guns, and everything in between.
The work DFLers did together this year has established Minnesota as a national beacon of progress. Still, every indication is we have an incredibly tough fight ahead of us over the next 12 months. A brand new poll from Emerson College even shows Donald Trump in a statistical dead-heat with President Biden in Minnesota.
It’s clear we need to ramp up the pressure. And to hit the ground running in my new role, I’m hoping to launch a push next week reinforcing the contrast between the historic accomplishments of our DFL trifecta and the black hole of chaos that is the Republican Party.
We have the green light to move forward, but to get our plans off the ground, we need to raise another $8,000 by the end of the week. That’s why I offered to reach out personally to our most reliable supporters to ask:
Can you send a donation of $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you by EOD Friday so we can launch our push, stay on offense, and hold the GOP accountable?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
