I was just 17 years old. President Reagan was in the White House, Scarface hit theaters, and Billboard’s year-end top song was "Every Breath You Take" by The Police. 

But guess who else was there in '83? Marcy Kaptur, and she's still in Congress 40 years later. She isn’t just a part of the swamp—Marcy is the swamp.

Ready for this? The picture on the left is of me around my high school graduation. The right? That’s Marcy, around the same year, being sworn into Congress…

I love the '80s, but there's a limit to nostalgia. Marcy's been there since the year Return of the Jedi hit theaters—we've had a few more (some unwanted) Star Wars trilogies since then.

John , while many have tried and failed, our campaign is different. We are determined to end her 40-year reign, bring fresh ideas to Congress, and be a new voice for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District.
