Dear Friend,
This is your last chance to make a gift that be matched 2X in impact during our October $100,000 Match Challenge.
I'm asking YOU to please make your first gift while it can help the millions of families impacted by Alzheimer's disease.
Alzheimer's isn't something that happens to someone else. It's a disease that is everywhere — and can impact everyone.
- More than 50% of people in the United States know someone living with Alzheimer's.
- 1 in 3, seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
- By 2050, nearly 13 million Americans are projected to be living with Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer's is a rapidly escalating global public health crisis — one we can't confront without your support. We're so close to achieving our October $100,000 Match Challenge goal, but we need your help to get there. Reaching our goal means we can continue providing care and support, while accelerating research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure through the end of this year and beyond.
It also means your impact can be doubled in this critical work. Can we count on your first gift now, while your support can still go 2X as far to help provide care and support and advance critical research?
A generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has pledged to match all gifts, up to $100,000, if we can raise the same amount by November 15. Their gift will support the Global Innovation Fund to accelerate and expand promising Alzheimer's research. Your gift to our October $100,000 Match Challenge can go 2X further to provide care and support and advance vital research.
Friend, we need YOU in this fight — for all the families whose lives have been touched by Alzheimer's or another dementia.
This is your last chance to have your first gift go TWICE as far to help us reach our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
While the statistics I shared above are deeply concerning, behind these numbers are everyday people — heartbroken people who have lost loved ones to Alzheimer's and who know the devastating physical, emotional and financial toll this cruel thief of a disease takes on families.
Working together is the only way we can ensure that care and support resources are always available and that we can continue to accelerate methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure — giving hope to millions of families.
It's your last chance to have your impact doubled during our October $100,000 Match Challenge, so please give now: |

While I shared some alarming numbers with you today, I have some hopeful numbers to share as well. The Association is currently investing more than $360 million in over 1,000 active best-of-field research projects in 53 countries.
We are working relentlessly in this fight — and we count on your help to keep pushing for the day when we find a cure.
We've entered an exciting new era in our fight. Treatments that could meaningfully change the course of the disease for people living with early Alzheimer's have received Food and Drug Administration approval. While a tremendous step forward, these breakthrough treatments are not the answer for everyone. Our work is far from done.
Don't miss your chance to be part of our October $100,000 Match Challenge and have 2X the impact in furthering our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Sincerely,

Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
