Participate in Testing the Board Engagement Survey
Calling all registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs): have you served for at least one year on a board of directors with fiduciary responsibilities? You may be eligible to participate in a study, approved by the University of Massachusetts Boston Institutional Review Board, to test an instrument aimed at measuring the engagement of nurses on boards. If you are part of a complex care program, the National Center for Complex Health and Social Needs wants to hear from you. The center is collecting information about the tools and resources others use, as it creates a toolkit for those starting programs that support individuals with complex health and social needs. Deadline: March 31.
Hosts Sought for Regional Meetings on Complex Care
After it wrote its blueprint to help those with complex needs, the National Center for Complex Health & Social Needs was asked to guide others in creating coordinated systems of care at the local level. That is why it will hold six regional meetings in 2020, and invites organizations to apply to host. DEADLINE EXTENDED: March 6.
The doors are open to applications for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s four leadership programs: Clinical Scholars, Health Policy Research Scholars, and Interdisciplinary Research Leaders. Deadline: March 11.
Nurses are underrepresented as expert sources in the media. The Center for Health Policy and Media Engagement at the George Washington University School of Nursing hopes to change that with its GW Nursing Journalism Award, recognizing excellence in reporting by journalists using nurses as key sources. The Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program seeks applicants from the medical, nursing, and dentistry field who are from historically disadvantaged backgrounds (defined as individuals who face challenges because of their race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status). Pursue Research Focused on Hispanic Children, Families
The National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families invites advanced doctoral students and early career scholars to apply for its 2020 Research Scholars Program. Honor Your Contributions: Apply for AARP Purpose Prize
Did you see a problem and create it a solution? Consider applying for AARP’s Purpose Prize, which celebrates the creativity, innovation, and inspiration that life experience brings. It is awarded to those 50 and older who are creating significant impact at the local, regional, national or global level. Deadline: March 31.
Organizations are invited to apply for the 2020 AARP Community Challenge, proposing Ideas that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. The Health and Aging Policy Fellows Program aims to create a cadre of leaders who will serve as change agents in health and aging policy to ultimately improve the health care of older adults. Students Invited to Apply for Complex Care Training
Knowing how to better care for people with complex health and social needs takes training. Now is the chance to join some 600 students from 40 schools across the U.S who have been trained through the Interprofessional Student Hotspotting Learning Collaborative.
