John, I have some disturbing news to share about yet another GOP attempt to silence voters’ voices at the ballot box. Before I do, can you make an urgent $3 contribution to our campaign to help us fight back against this cynical GOP effort?
Here’s the deal:
A California Republican is introducing legislation in the U.S. House to limit the campaign contributions we need to help fight back against the GOP money machine in this U.S. Senate race.
Now take a deep breath before reading further, because this is important:
On March 5, 2024, Californians will actually vote twice in the U.S. Senate election’s all-parties primary, and vote again on November 5 — twice. Once for the special election, and once for the general election.
Which means we’re running in double the amount of races. Nothing else in this race has changed – I don’t take Corporate PAC contributions, so I’m relying on these grassroots dollars to win. And this Republican is seizing on the opportunity to try and block us.
With 26 declared candidates in our race according to the Los Angeles Times, we’re going to need to pour a massive amount of resources into educating voters about the ballots.
If all these confusing details are making your head spin, that’s exactly what California Republicans are banking on. Just imagine this nightmare scenario:
Voters fill in their choice for U.S. Senate in one election while leaving the other blank — and the GOP money machine seizes on voter confusion, Trump on the ballot, and a highly consolidated Republican base to sneak their preferred candidate through with a bare plurality of support.
We can’t put any dirty tricks past the GOP. Least of all by letting this cynical effort to silence California voters’ voices pick up any traction.
John, with our campaign running in 4 elections between 26 declared candidates spanning every political party, I’m PERSONALLY asking for ALL the help we can get to win this race. Can you chip in $3 to help my team respond to this GOP power grab and continue our efforts to reach every single voter in the Golden State?
