John, what happens when we invest in community-based organizers who work tirelessly to build progressive power year-round?
Take a look at Nevada and Arizona!
In these two battleground states, Sister District has directed critical funding to three of our partners on the ground that have made a huge impact on state policy: One APIA Nevada, Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA), and Rural Arizona Action (RAZA).
We’ll tell you more about their work in a moment, but if you’re short on time, please pitch in to keep their work going strong and help them lay the foundation for 2024! We’re matching all donations — up to a total of $2,500 for each state.

In 2022, our State Bridges partners on the ground were pivotal in our work to protect Democratic majorities in Nevada and hold the line in Arizona. But their work didn’t stop on Election Day.
During the recent legislative session, One APIA Nevada recruited community members to share their stories, testify in community hearings, co-presented bills, and lobby state legislators.
Because of their work, they helped pass impactful legislation — including bills that:
- Allow people in local jails to exercise their right to vote,
-
Protect healthcare professionals who provide care for individuals seeking reproductive healthcare services, and
- Guarantee the ability of a minor to consent to certain healthcare services, including contraception.
And in Arizona, where Republicans hold control of both state legislative chambers, LUCHA and RAZA have organized to block harmful legislation from passing, including:
-
Stopping a bill that would result in divestment of critical public services, like WIC, SNAP, public schools, roads, and libraries, and
-
Blocking anti-democracy bills that would make it easier to kick people off early-voting rolls, let conspiracy theorists have access to the images of ballots, and hurt voter registration efforts.
This is exactly why we invest in year-round organizers!
Unfortunately, it has been widely reported that grassroots fundraising is at its lowest in years, and important local grassroots organizations like our partners are feeling the squeeze. That’s why your donation to One APIA Nevada, LUCHA, and RAZA today couldn’t come at a more critical time.
You can double your impact and help give our partners a critical fundraising boost by pitching in today! Your donation will be matched and provide urgent resources as they gear up for 2024.
Thank you!
