Dear Friend,

Last weekend during a major Jewish holiday, the world was stunned as Hamas terrorists launched an unprovoked attack on Israel, one of our nation’s strongest allies.

They launched rockets and sent over 1,000 Hamas fighters to Gaza, killing over 1,000 Israelis, including women and children, and at least 30 Americans.

I visited Israel last year and felt not only the constant threats that Israelis face from Gaza but also the resiliency of the Israeli people. On my trip, I met a young woman who served in the IDF forces and showed me her home and the bullet holes on the outside wall of her room. Her family was killed during this brutal attack as her kibbutz was overtaken.

There are too many stories like this as we see the unimaginable numbers of Israelis – and Americans – killed and injured. I know they will continue to be resilient — but they need our support as they defend themselves and their right to exist.

I was proud to join over 390 of my colleagues in Congress on a resolution to condemn the unprovoked attack from Hamas, reaffirm Israel’s right to defend itself, and support our closest ally against Hamas and other terrorists' attacks.

Please know that I wholeheartedly stand with Israel and our Jewish community during this horrific time.

If you know of a U.S. citizen needing to be evacuated from the region, please call my office at (714) 984-2440. You can also contact the U.S. Embassy in Israel here and let the State Department know here

Do you think the U.S. should support Israel's right to defend itself?

My team and I are here to serve you. If you ever need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. I also encourage you to receive real-time updates on my work for you in Congress by signing up for my e-newsletter and following me on FacebookTwitterYoutube and Instagram at @RepYoungKim.

Thank you for your time,
