It has been a difficult week, and our thoughts are with everyone affected–especially those in harm’s way. The events in recent weeks remind us of the great responsibility of our elected officials to serve the people. And developments in Washington have shown us the dangers of electing people who do not take that responsibility seriously. That’s why our work together is so important, and we are glad to share our update on the work we are doing.
First, THANK YOU to everyone who contributed ahead of last month’s FEC deadline. We’re proud of the strong campaign we’re building together. In fact, we’ve passed our fundraising milestone of 700 contributions through our digital program!

We couldn’t have done it without people like you responding to these emails. We have a lot more work ahead of us before the primary in March and the general election in November, and we’re glad to know we can count on you to be part of it.
At the recent Texas Tribune Festival [[link removed]] , Lizzie talked about the importance of taking back the House 2024. With a Democratic majority, we can focus on the issues that matter—like ensuring equal access to the ballot box for all Americans; expanding access to quality, affordable health care; and protecting reproductive rights in all 50 states. Her panel, “The Blue Team,” talked about the challenges and opportunities in the current Congress, and priorities for the next one.

#TeamLizzie has been hard at work in the district. In the past few weeks, we’ve checked in with local Democratic clubs and organizations to discuss our strategy for winning not only our race in TX-07 but other important races in Texas (think Senate!).

The conversations we’re having across the district are crucial to our efforts to win back the House next year and send more responsible leaders like Lizzie to Congress so we can put an end to the partisan games we’ve all been observing, especially in recent weeks, and get back to work on the issues that matter to Texans.
Thank you for being a part of the team,
Team Lizzie
