Hey John,
For years, we relied a lot on Twitter: it was a useful tool to keep in touch with our community, move campaigns forward, and build power. Unfortunately, that’s no longer true. Every week seems to bring a deluge of changes making “exTwitter” less fun, less reliable, and less safe.
We’ve been brainstorming ways to keep communication going while being a bit more platform independent. And here’s the big one: we launched a newsletter! If you want to keep up with our work and digital life, consider subscribing?
Subscribe to Touch Grass
We’re calling it Touch Grass—it’s a little corny, but it captures our focus on connecting digital issues to the real, grassy, world. I (Anna) moved from campaign work to writing to bring this weekly-ish missive to life, and I’m so excited to see where it goes.
Posts so far have covered:
How the 3G network shutdown broke thousands of parking meters
AI, art, and creative monopoly power
Internet censorship bills: where they’re coming from, how to kill them
And hot of the presses, today I shared an interview with Darrah Blackwater, a leading advocate for the right of Native nations to control the waves in their airspace. It's a fascinating topic that may completely change the way you think about the spectrum.
Thanks, and hope to meet you in your inbox soon,
Anna at ❤️ Fight
