Hey John, do you remember this time last year as well as I do?

We were in our final month of the 2022 election, traveling to every corner of our Commonwealth to talk with voters about the issues most important to working families and local communities.

I remember how much was on the line. From protecting abortion rights to defending the right to vote and our democracy, I knew just how high the stakes were for hard-working Pennsylvanians.

But on Election Day, millions of Pennsylvanians came together to send a clear message: Here in Pennsylvania, real freedom will always prevail.

Now, our hard work is paying off. In just the past year, we’ve expanded opportunities for Pennsylvania workers, enacted universal free breakfast so no child starts the school day hungry, and enacted automatic voter registration or every Pennsylvanian eligible to vote.

This time last year, our victory was far from certain — but because of the strength of this people-powered team, we came together and defeated the far-right’s divisive vision for Pennsylvanian, and immediately got to work.

But this fight isn’t over. It’s just getting started. And I know that far-right extremists will try to halt our progress every chance they get.
