Republicans control the U.S. House by a narrow margin and are failing to deliver the leadership the American people need. Right now, we have no Speaker of the House, which means we can’t vote on legislation, budgets, funding, or anything.

The standstill the U.S. House is currently in has never happened in American history and the American people deserve better.

You know that I am proud to work on bipartisan legislation and frequently reach across the aisle. I truly believe that when we come together, we can deliver better solutions for the American people. But right now, we are so far from that possibility because a group of extremists are playing political games with our nation.

We must do better, and in order to do better, we must work together to elect strong leaders in 2024 who put the needs of their constituents ahead of their own.

In 2024, my name will not be the only name on the ballot. That’s why I’m committed to working from now until Election Day to reach voters in MI-06 and in key, competitive U.S. House districts so we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

We’re stronger when we come together, Team, and I won’t stop working until the U.S. House has the leaders and fighters the American people deserve.
