Honoring Heroes: A Tribute to Sacrifice

Earlier this week, Representative Diamond Garcia and Nebraska Senator Rita Sanders (R) stood tall with Colonel Brannen (USMC). This picture is more than an image; it’s a testament to sacrifice and unity.

Hickam Air Force Base in Hawai'i holds sacred ground as the Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency diligently honors our missing military heroes. Senator Sanders, a strong Republican voice and a daughter of Makaha, HI, stands in solidarity, representing our shared commitment to duty and honor.

Rep. Pierick at Hawaii Youth Challenge in Kapolei

Recently, Rep Pierick toured the Hawai'i Youth Challenge in Kapolei. He got to speak with the cadets, share an inspirational message, and answer many questions that the students have.

Additionally, Dr Elijah was able to go door to door this week with residents in Royal Kunai, encouraging them to fill out their proxy application to vote on issues relating to their homeowners’ association. Their HOA hasn’t had an official board meeting in four years because of a lack of quorum. Through his efforts in the community, and grassroots community support, hopefully, they will have a board meeting, and their homeowners’ association will be able to have an official meeting with quorum.

Rep. Matsumoto at Mililani High School Homecoming Game

Representative Matsumoto attended the Mililani High School Homecoming game where the Trojan football team delivered an incredible performance on the football field, with an astounding 56-0 victory against Kapolei High School in front of the homecoming crowd. This year's Homecoming theme was "Mililani Cinematic Universe". The atmosphere was charged with school spirit, and it was truly a memorable evening. It was a night to remember, celebrating in the unity of the community.

Capitol Talk & Tour with Rep. Matsumoto

During fall break Representative Matsumoto held a Capitol Talk & Tour at the Hawai'i State Capitol which drew an impressive crowd. Providing a unique opportunity for her community to gain insights into the legislative process and the rich history of the State Capitol. Visiting the House Chamber, Public Access Room, the Lieutenant Governor's office (with a special appearance by Lieutenant Governor; Sylvia Luke) and the Governor's office offered a firsthand glimpse into the heart of a state's executive branch. Those that attended were offered an informative and engaging experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the State's political processes and its unique place in the history of Hawai'i; ultimately promoting transparency and active participation in the State's legislative affairs.

Rep. Ward's October Beer Summit Featured Lahaina's Own Rep. Elle Cochran

At this monthly Beer Summit in Hawaii Kai, Representative Ward hosted fellow Representative Elle Cochran who was on the ground during the tragic fires in her lifelong home of Lahaina. Representative Ward enjoyed attending Kaiser High School’s homecoming football game, where they took on Kaimuki High School. He was joined by fellow community elected officials along with Kaiser High School leaders. Go Cougars!
