Instead of addressing local issues, passing legislation to support working families — or heck, maybe protecting voting rights for a change — North Carolina Republicans are abusing their power to restrict ballot access and make it harder to vote.

There are real consequences to these actions. Democracy Docket noted that if just one of the two laws NC Republicans just passed were in effect in 2020, more than 13,000 votes would have been invalidated.
