I Stand with Israel 

In the past week, we have witnessed the barbaric terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas on Israel. My prayers remain with Israel and the Jewish people as they face these unprovoked terrorist attacks, which resulted in over 1,400 deaths, including at least 30 Americans, and many hostages. 

I cosponsored a bipartisan resolution with over 290 of my colleagues expressing my support for Israel and condemning the terrorist attacks by Hamas. I also signed onto a bipartisan letter urging the Biden Administration to freeze the $6 billion provided to Iran in exchange for hostages. Left unaddressed, the Iranian regime’s continued support for terrorist groups and attempts to wipe Israel off the map will only grow more brazen. Israel has every right to defend itself, and I will continue to stand with Israel and work with my colleagues to provide support.

An Update on the Speaker race

As the House of Representatives remains without a speaker, it is critical that House Republicans unify this week and get back to the work that Americans sent us to Washington to do. I am proud to support Jim Jordan for the Speaker of the House, and it’s time for our conference to unite behind him. Jim is the leader who can bring our conference together and deliver on the promises of our Majority - secure the border, rein in spending, and provide needed oversight on the Biden Administration.

Supporting Illinois Farmers

Illinois is home to some of the richest farmland in the world and the 16th District is one of the largest agriculture districts in the country.

On National Farmers Day, which we celebrated this past week, we say thank you to those who continue to feed and fuel our state and country.

I penned an op-ed in Newsweek this past week with Congressman Randy Feenstra from Iowa discussing the lack of a substantive trade agenda from the Biden Administration and the negative impact this has on our farmers.
