These are just some of the things House Democrats accomplished when we were in charge of the Majority, John:
- Lowered prescription prices and capped the cost of insulin for people on Medicare
- Invested in clean energy and manufacturing to create more good-paying jobs
- Passed the first gun violence prevention law in decades
- Invested in rebuilding our infrastructure and getting broadband into more homes
- Made it easier for veterans to access the health care they need
This is what House Republicans have accomplished this year with control of the Majority:
- Nearly defaulted on our debt, which could’ve triggered a recession
- Almost sent us into a government shutdown that would’ve hurt our economy, millions of federal workers, and our military
- Launched a baseless impeachment inquiry against President Biden
- Ousted Kevin McCarthy as their Speaker, bringing the House to a grinding halt
Democrats are putting people over politics. We’re focused on measures that will make a real difference in people’s lives for the better -- in their health care, jobs, wages, and communities. Republicans are pulling one political stunt after another instead of doing their jobs.
Here’s the good news: We only need to flip five seats to win back the House, but we need everyone getting involved to make it happen.
