One in six children lives in poverty in America. That makes kids the poorest age group in our country, and our youngest children are suffering the most.

The hunger, stress, and trauma of a childhood spent in poverty disrupt a child’s development in ways that are often irreversible. Right now, poverty is stealing the futures of millions of children who are too young to understand what they’re losing.

These children deserve better. They deserve to know that they are seen and heard, and that there are adults all around this country who will fight for them.
