Last week, Michael traveled to the U.S. Supreme Court for the beginning of oral arguments in the SC-01 racial gerrymandering case. 

In a speech outside the Court, he stood up for the 30,000 Lowcountry residents whose voting power has been unconstitutionally diminished because of the color of their skin.

Michael is committed to serving SC-01 no matter what the Supreme Court rules. 

But here at Team Moore, we believe it's our responsibility to ensure fair and equal representation for all of the Lowcountry's residents — regardless of skin color.

Michael stands against racial gerrymandering, full stop.

Michael is honored to continue the fight for the same ideals his great-great-grandfather, Robert Smalls, championed 150 years ago: equality, justice, and voting rights for all.
