After decades of expert-driven, top-down advocacy, a more grassroots approach to change is resurgent. 

In the latest AdvocacyLabs report from 50CAN and FutureEd, we examine the competing philosophies and approaches for community organizing, applying a common framework to make sense of it all.

The new report addresses core questions faced by many community organizers–including our own at 50CAN, where the number of campaigns employing community organizing as a tactic has blossomed from 19% to 51% over the past decade. Among these questions:
