Dear John,

President Biden's administration's wide-open southern border is not just a policy failure, it is a national security threat.

When I met with U.S. Border Patrol at the southern border, their accounts were shocking.

The border agents told me that migrants are not just coming from Latin America—since the beginning of October, they have apprehended individuals from 28 Middle Eastern countries. Including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Yemen. All in just a matter of days.

Many of these countries are known to favor terrorism, and as our adversaries across the world are emboldened, we cannot turn a blind eye to possible threats crossing our southern border.

This negligence from President Biden’s administration is not only dangerous, but a national security threat.

Montana Proud,

Senator Steve Daines

Do you believe that the wide-open southern border is a national security threat?
