When Iowa Republicans took over the Senate in 2017, one of their priorities was to eliminate the Iowa Family Planning Network, leaving millions of dollars on the table and making it harder for our friends and neighbors in rural Iowa to get access to reproductive health care.
Since Republicans have taken over the Senate, they have caused Iowa to:
💸Increasing unintended pregnancies, making it harder for women to create economic security..
🩺Have fewer doctors, forcing rural Iowans to have to travel further for care.
📉Close OB/GYN units across the state, crumbling maternal health care..
😷Have an increase in STD rates, making Iowans unhealthier.
