My team just let me know that we’re still short of reaching our mid-month fundraising goal, and frankly, I’m a little surprised. Take a look:

Last month was our strongest month of the entire year, which wasn’t all that shocking. We expected a fundraising spike as we got closer to Election Day. But I was a bit bewildered when my team told me that not only are we short of hitting our mid-month goal for October, but at our current pace, we’re going to come up short of hitting our fundraising projections for the entire month.

Our fundraising efforts cannot take a hit now. Not with only a few weeks to go until the election where every single seat in the General Assembly will be battled over. Not when Republicans have the opportunity to control the House of Delegates, the Virginia Senate, and the governor’s office.

October is the last chance we have to get Democrats in Virginia across the campaign finish line and elected to the General Assembly where they get things done for everyday Virginians.
