Real quick: I wanted to let you know that we reached our fundraising goal last weekend. Thank you so much for helping us get there!

When I first ran for public office, I had no ties to the political establishment. But I did have a fighting spirit -- it’s how I became the youngest elected official in New York City, and how I became the first openly LGBT official in the Bronx. But most importantly, I was elected to the NYC Council because I had the support of everyday New Yorkers.

This race to represent New York's 15th Congressional District will be tough, but as long as we keep hitting these goals and fighting as hard as we can, I'm confident we'll win. Looking forward to securing a historic victory with you, John.
