John,
It’s been a busy few weeks in DC, so I wanted to take a minute and touch base with you.
I remain so grateful for the opportunity to serve Vermonters in the House, but it weighs on you.
Standing by as the GOP House devolves into a civil war and seeing the so-called moderate Republicans too afraid to stand up for what’s right, all while knowing that there’s important work that we should be doing.
This is what happens when MAGA extremists are enabled.
It’s infuriating and frustrating. Today’s political environment is not for the faint of heart, but I’m honored to be a voice of reason and respect through it all.
I’ve always said that being a middle school teacher was some of the best prep work I could have done before choosing to run for Congress. It helped me build a thick skin, learn how to think quickly on my feet, and diffuse arguments among peers.
Knowing that you’re still standing with me means so much, John. And ahead of tonight’s big mid-month deadline, it would mean the world to see a donation come in from you on ActBlue: [link removed] [[link removed]]
As always: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
