From the bottom of my heart – I want to thank you for believing in me and the movement we built together.

Our campaign accomplished so much together – making sure critical issues like protecting Medicaid expansion, prioritizing community safety, and strengthening our public education system were at the forefront of the race for Governor.

We listened to the voices of Louisiana voters. We empowered community leaders. We brought new folks into the electoral process.

But here’s the reality: Yesterday did not go as we had hoped. Jeff Landry will be the next Governor of Louisiana.

The results of yesterday’s election do not change or impact my unwavering commitment to the people of Louisiana. I will continue to fight for you and our communities however I can best do so.
