A LOT has happened the last six weeks in the Michigan Senate race. So to keep you up to date, and to explain plain and simple why your support really matters in our campaign, we wanted to lay out our big updates clear as day:

FIRST: In early September, Republican former Congressman Mike Rogers got in the race. Mike will try to paint himself as a moderate, but in his first two weeks in the race, he put out a video as a former FBI officer – attacking the FBI, calling them “corrupt” for going after Trump. And his extreme record in Congress speaks for itself. He supports abortion bans even in the cases of rape, incest, and common miscarriage. And he has advocated to privatize Social Security.

THEN: James Craig, a Republican former Detroit Police Chief and the most Trump-aligned potential candidate, has jumped into the race. He is against any additional gun safety laws, he opposes all abortion, including for victims of rape and incest, and denied the results of the 2020 election. And most recently, he has been on conservative radio and talk shows promoting his campaign and attacking Elissa.

NOW: A new public poll came out in October showing a messy Republican primary for the Michigan Senate race, National Republicans launched digital attack ads against Elissa, and Donald Trump made two visits to Michigan to ignite the Republican base.

So here’s where we’re at:

In response to these two new opponents, we need to share our positive, affirming message about Elissa with voters across Michigan in order to combat the inevitable negative attacks from whoever our eventual Republican opponent is.

But that takes resources.
