Elise Congratulates Jim Jordan on Speaker Nomination
House Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik congratulated Jim Jordan on his nomination for Speaker of the House and was proud to endorse him for the job. Elise remains committed to unifying the Republican Conference and delivering for the American people!
Elise has stood unequivocally strong with Israel and against the Hamas terrorists who barbarically attacked Israelis, including women, children, and the elderly.
Elise is committed to ensuring Israel has the resources necessary to not only defend itself against these barbaric terrorist attacks but also to eliminate the existential threat to Israel posed by terrorist groups. Read Elise’s statement:
“As Israel's sovereign borders come under attack yet again from Iranian-backed terrorists, the United States supports Israel's right to defend itself from all acts of violence. I extend my condolences for the Israelis who lost their lives in these senseless and barbaric attacks. I stand with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli people and remain committed to ensuring that they have the support and resources they need to defend themselves.”
Other Updates from Elise:
This week, Elise worked with Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) to introduce the “Operation Swords of Iron” bill, which would provide more support to Israel and ensure the country can protect innocent lives as the war rages on. Read more on the proposed bill here.
She also joined Congressman Mike Gallagher (WI-08) in demanding the Biden Administration to stop releasing money to Tehran.
Elise Calls Out Anti-Semitism, Demands Harvard President Resign
Harvard made headlines this week, and NOT in a good way. Harvard led the way for many liberal institutions and their affiliated student organizations in standing with Hamas terrorists and labeling Israel "entirely responsible" for "unfolding violence" brought on by the Iranian-backed Hamas soldiers.
Elise immediately called out the University for allowing anti-semitism to run rampant on campus–
“It is abhorrent and heinous that Harvard student groups are blaming Israel for Hamas’ barbaric terrorist attacks that have killed over 700 Israelis. Any voice that excuses the slaughter of innocent women and children has chosen the side of evil and terrorism. I am calling on the leadership of Harvard to immediately publicly condemn these vile anti-Semitic statements.”
THE LATEST– Elise has called for the resignation of Harvard President Claudine Gay after she defended the University’s anti-Semitic clubs as “free expression.” See the Chairwoman’s full exchange here:
This week, Sun Community News published Elise’s op-ed celebrating one of NY-21’s favorite times of the year– apple season! Elise has always been a strong advocate for farmers in our district and across the nation. Read an excerpt from Elise’s piece below:
“Agriculture is truly the backbone of our economy in Upstate New York and the North Country, and I am proud to represent one of the top-producing states for apples in the nation. Our apple growers produce millions of bushels of apples a year to feed Americans and export delicious products throughout the world.”
