We are less than two hours away from polls closing in Louisiana, and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
Whether you’ve been able to give to my campaign or you’ve read emails from me or my team, or maybe this is your first time seeing anything from us—your support has meant so much to me as we’ve put this team together.
The person I am running against, Beth Mizell, is an instrumental player in Louisiana’s slide to the far right. She has personally sponsored and advocated for pointless culture war legislation that only serves to punish young trans folks; and she is one of the most extreme anti-abortion and anti-choice Republicans in the state.
I have had countless conversations with voters throughout this district and everywhere in Louisiana who are not comfortable with the radical anti-choice agenda that my opponent leads here. They are ready to fight back and see the contrasts between someone like me and the incumbent.
I feel confident in our chances for advancing in this primary and ultimately flipping this seat but we only have two hours left to urge thousands of key voters to rush to the polls. Texting tens of thousands of voters is not cheap.
