This week, the Social Security Administration announced the 2024 Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for social security recipients. With a 3.2% increase, AARP estimates recipients will receive $59 more per month.
While this increase is welcome news for recipients in our community, it's not enough to keep up with rising costs. As families, seniors, and disabled Americans struggle to make ends meet, next year’s modest COLA is a reminder of the need to strengthen Social Security benefits, not cut them.
