I wanted to check in with you after a hard week. As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, I was actually in Israel last week when Hamas launched their barbaric attack, meeting with leaders and people from Israel and Palestine in an effort to build on the successes of the historic Abraham Accords and put the region on a path to a lasting peace.

I wanted to check in with you after a hard week. As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, I was actually in Israel last week when Hamas launched their barbaric attack, meeting with leaders and people from Israel and Palestine in an effort to build on the successes of the historic Abraham Accords and put the region on a path to a lasting peace.

After sheltering with my staff and departing Israel, we were determined to continue our trip as planned to other countries in the region, with a resolve to continue building bridges leading to peace in the region. Since my return, I’ve been able to share what I learned from my trip.

I know the long journey ahead will not be easy, but I am as focused as ever to continue the work. During this challenging time for our world, I hope you will continue to partner with me on that journey towards peace.
