At a time when Americans are already feeling the squeeze of record-setting
inflation, out-of-control government spending continues to go unchecked —
surely adding to many households’ financial woes.
And as our elected officials green light frivolous spending proposals, the
nation’s debt is climbing to shocking levels, putting generations of Americans
on the hook for debt they may never repay.
In fact, because of this year’s increasing federal deficit, each American’s
share of the debt is now over $98,000 — up $6,000 from 2022.
The world continues to watch as the country’s debt rating is downgraded and
hardworking Americans across the country struggle to stay afloat.
